Mr. Phillip Edward Alexander was appointed a Senator and Minister in the Ministry of Housing on May 7, 2025.

A publicist and communications specialist by profession, Mr. Alexander has advised some of the biggest names in the public and private sector where the management of media and their corporate and private images are concerned. He is also a columnist, a social media blogger and a talk show host, a political and social activist, the founder of the Jericho Project and Chairman of the Citizen’s Union of T&T.

Mr. Alexander is the founder and political leader of the Progressive Empowerment Party, part of the United National Congress coalition of parties that won the General Election of April 28, 2025.
