Mr. Kareem Marcelle was elected to the House of Representatives in the 13th Republican Parliament as the representative for Laventille West on April 28, 2025.

Mr. Marcelle is a young legal professional, community activist, and servant of the people of Beetham and its environs. As a recipient of the Makandal Daaga Scholarship in Law (2017) from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus, Mr. Marcelle has served as an Alderman in the Port of Spain City Corporation and President of the Renewing Hope Foundation. Through his deep-rooted community activism and leadership, he has spearheaded over 50 initiatives focused on education, youth development, and social welfare and championed digital transformation justice for underserved communities.
