Mr. Hassel Bacchus was appointed a Senator and Minister in the Ministry of Public Administration and Digital Transformation in the 12th Republican Parliament. In July of 2021, he would become Minister of Digital Transformation and in March of 2025 he was also assigned responsibilities as a Minister in the Ministry of Finance.
