Mr. Eli Zakour first served as a Temporary Opposition Senator during the 11th and 12th Republican Parliaments.

In the 13th Republican Parliament, Mr. Zakour was appointed a Senator and assigned the portfolio of Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation.
