Dr. Colin Neil Gosine first served as a Temporary Senator during the 12th Republican Parliament. He was elected to the House of Representatives as the Member for Chaguanas West in the 13th Republican Parliament in April of 2025 and assigned to serve as Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Trade, Investment and Tourism.

Dr. Gosine’s political career began in 2002 when he held the position of Chairman of the St Joseph constituency under the United National Congress. He also served as campaign manager for the St. Joseph constituency in 2002, 2015, and 2020.

Dr. Gosine is an entrepreneur who has managed his own insurance brokerage firm and has made a significant contribution to the insurance industry for over four decades. Dr. Gosine holds a Doctorate in Business Administration and is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (FCMI) as well as Panel of the Chartered Management Institute in London. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Administrative Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics.

Over the years, Dr. Gosine has remained a political contributor, using commentary and opinions to influence national issues and public education relating to the economy and governance.
