Dr. David Lee first entered Parliament as the representative for Pointe-a-Pierre in the 11th Republican Parliament. He was re-elected to this constituency in August 2020, as a Member of the 12th Republican Parliament, where he served as the Opposition Chief Whip in the House of Representatives. He was elected as the Member for Caroni Central in the 13th Republican Parliament and serves as Minister of Housing.

A self-made successful businessman, he has over 30 years experience in the corporate world and finance sector, having worked at the Central Bank of T&T for over 15 years, and then as CEO of a large international shipping conglomerate, among other things.
